At the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, Azimut Yachts will officially unveil the Fly 70, the latest addition to its Flybridge range, marking a further step in the Italian yacht builder’s approach to life on the water. Alongside the Seadeck 9, Magellano 27M and Grande 44M, the Fly 70 will form part of one of Azimut’s most notable presences at Cannes this year.
With the Fly 70, Azimut continues its collaboration with Alberto Mancini and Fabio Fantolino, the two designers behind the distinctive character of the Fly 62, Fly 72 and Fly 82. Their return marks a continuation of a creative partnership established through previous generations, while opening a new chapter for the Flybridge range, with a consistent design language carried from the exterior through to the interiors.
According to Alberto Mancini, the Fly 70 draws from the raw beauty of nature and the constant movement of water. Its sculptural form is defined by soft, flowing lines, while retaining the sporty character that has long distinguished Azimut’s design language.
One of the defining qualities of the Flybridge range is the way its living spaces open towards the sea. On the Fly 70, this approach is most evident at the aft, where the cockpit becomes a true extension of the living space, accommodating up to eight guests. Two layouts are available: Terrace Cockpit and Beach Cockpit. The Terrace Cockpit preserves an open, unobstructed outlook towards the sea, while the Beach Cockpit brings the space closer to the water with a lowering transom and low-profile seating.
The flybridge is one of the spaces that defines the character of the Fly range – a setting where views, natural light and outdoor living come together on another level. On the Fly 70, the space is arranged around a 360-degree view, with three distinct areas: a forward sunpad, a central C-shaped dining area and an open aft section. A wet bar sits alongside the dining area, while the aft section is deliberately kept free of fixed structures, giving the owner greater freedom to arrange the space according to their needs.
Above, the fiberglass hard top embraces the rollbar and extends forward in one continuous line, giving the entire flybridge a distinctive sense of cohesion. Rather than serving simply as a place for sunbathing or helm duties, the flybridge becomes a true living space – designed for dining, relaxing and spending time outdoors with an uninterrupted view of the sea.
Inside the Fly 70, Fabio Fantolino embraces a refined eclecticism – a balance between contemporary architecture and a carefully considered selection of materials, colours and details, resulting in an interior with character yet an effortless sense of balance.
On the main deck, the salon and dining area flow together within an open layout while maintaining views of the sea. Two facing sofas form the centre of the salon, complemented by brown suede, cc-tapis rugs and Green River marble. The combination of materials is deliberately restrained, creating depth and character without overwhelming the space.
The dining area continues this approach with a Taj Mahal marble tabletop and chairs by Patricia Urquiola for Andreu World. Behind it, the galley is discreetly concealed behind timber and bronze slats, providing a degree of separation while preserving the openness of the main living area.
Below deck, four cabins accommodate up to eight guests, with the master cabin positioned amidships. Architectural diagonal lines paired with Bronze Amani marble bring definition to the owner’s suite, creating a space that feels private, composed and quietly refined.
The Fly 70 is built on Azimut’s Carbon-Tech Generation platform, making extensive use of carbon fiber to reduce overall weight and optimise performance. Powered by twin Volvo IPS 1350 engines, she reaches a top speed of up to 31 knots.
Alongside performance, Azimut continues to focus on quieter operation and reduced environmental impact across its new Flybridge models. The Fly 70 is the first model to feature Azimut Silent Technology – Pure, an exhaust treatment system combining a particulate filter, silencer, ceramic blocks and a nitrogen oxide catalyst. According to Azimut, the system reduces particulate emissions by up to 95% and acoustic pressure by 50%, creating a quieter environment on board, particularly while at anchor.
The Fly 70’s debut in Cannes forms part of Azimut’s strategy to introduce a new generation of yachts, alongside three other world premieres: the Magellano 27M, Seadeck 9 and Grande 44M.
